Zocalo Tech, Inc. is an electronic design automation (EDA) company founded in 2005. Zocalo Tech customers are electronics companies that develop and integrate complex design blocks or intellectual property (IP). The company's mission is to develop breakthrough technology to enhance the SystemVerilog functional verification process, by making the verification plan an integral part of the verification process resulting in:
Zocalo Tech's technology results in a major improvement to the completeness of the SystemVerilog verification environment, providing a shorter and more predictable process to verify SoC designs.
Zocalo Tech's management team has over 70 years of combined experience in product development, sales and marketing and operations experience in the EDA industry.

Martin has over 30 years of experience in the CAD and EDA industry beginning in 1970, when he left Texas Instruments to co-found a service bureau using the first generation of CAD technology. From there he spent 10 years at Computervision, beginning at the formative stages of the company as a salesman and holding various sales management positions. In 1983, he joined Daisy Systems establishing the company as the leading EDA vendor in the South and South Central US. He joined Cadence Design Systems in 1989, as the Western Area Director. In 1991, he joined Scientific and Engineering Software as the VP of Sales, followed by 3 years as Area Director for Aptix. Prior to Zocalo, he was President and co-founder of SpeedGate, Inc., acquired by Mentor Graphics in 2000. Martin has a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering and a Masters in Physics from Texas A&M.
Shalish has over 17 years experience in EDA verification software development, support and use. He spent 7 years at IBM as a mainframe processor design engineer, systems engineer and technical support engineer on the Power PC. He was with VLSI Logic for 2 years as a field applications engineer, specializing in PC, multimedia and network computing products and PCI, DSP and RISC processor cores. With Aptix he spent 3 years as an emulation field application engineer. He was Vice President of Software R&D and co-founder of SpeedGate, Inc., acquired by Mentor Graphics in 2000. Prior to joining Zocalo Tech, Shalish was the lead verification engineer for the MP3 SoC at Sigmatel, Austin, Texas. Khalil has a B.S.E.E. from Stevens Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Computer Sciences from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Stevens has over 30 years of engineering, operational and EDA experience. He spent 18 years at Texas Instruments progressing from lead engineer to managing teams of up to 120 engineering personnel. In 1986, he joined Daisy as General Manager of the Printed Circuit Division. After the Daisy/Cadnetix merger, he was responsible for integration of the company's combined products. In 1989, he joined Cadence Design Systems where he became an expert/instructor in verification and synthesis technology. Prior to joining SpeedGate, he was an emulation consulting engineer for 4 years with Aptix. He joined SpeedGate in 2000 (acquired by Mentor Graphics in 2000) and was responsible for managing the ongoing technical development of the SpeedGate product at Mentor Graphics. Stevens has an M.S.E.E. from the University of Missouri.
